Forgotten Super Eagles left-back is on the radar of UEFA Conference League debutants, Trabzonspor, as they have identified him as a prime target this summer.

The Blue Sea Storm are in search of a left fullback and have identified the Russian born Nigerian defender Bryan Ìdòwú as a transfer target.

Sporx reveal that the former employers of Ogenyi Onazi and Mikel Obi are ready to sign the former Lokomotiv Moscow left-wing-back to beef up their defence.

Coach Abdullahi Avici isn’t convinced with the options he has in the left side of the defence and he’s of the belief that Ìdòwú will do a good job there.

Despite being born in Russia, Ìdòwú is Nigerian and was part of the West African nation’s squad at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The 28-year-old spent last season at Khimki on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow as he contributed three goals and two assists in 27 Russian Premier League games.

He has however joined Khimki on permanent basis as he signed a two-year deal that will expire in 2023, butTrabzonspor are still interested in replicating what Lille did with Sporting Chaleroi while getting Victor Osimhen.

If the deal materialises, the Black Sea Storm will be having two Nigerians on their books with the incoming skipper of the team Tony Nwakaeme also being a Nigerian.
