Tottenham new manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Gareth Bale will not be back with Tottenham Hotspur FC next season, having spent last term on loan from Real Madrid.

“He will not be part of our squad,” said Nuno of the 32-year-old Wales international.

The Portuguese man was unveiled this month as Mourinho’s successor, with the club’s long and winding 72-day search finally coming to an end.

He is excited about the set of players at his disposal at Spurs but admits that after a seventh-place finish last season they need to make the right signings to improve.

Bale had a mixed season on loan back at Spurs from Real Madrid, scoring 16 goals but struggled for regular starts in the Premier League under the then coach Jose Mourinho.

Having won sixteen notable tittles with Real Madrid including four Champions League, he returned to the Tottenham’s stadium hoping to help the team win it’s first major title since winning the League Cup in 2008. This hope was dashed by a Pep Guardiola Manchester City side beating them 1-0 in a Cup final.

He is back at Real Madrid, waiting for final decision on his future.
