Nigeria’s Divine Oduduru has been disqualified from Heat 5 of the men’s 100m race at the Tokyo Olympics for a false start, in what seems to be a controversial disqualification.
Great Britain’s Reece Prescod had a similar false start reaction, and wasn’t disqualified. He only got a warning.
The question is who committed the offense first?
According to the rule, when one Athlete makes a false start a final warning is given to everyone and from then on whoever makes a false start gets disqualified.
Should Nigeria officials at the Olympics protest Oduduru’s disqualification?
