Super Eagles striker, Simeon Nwankwo, is on the verge of signing for Serie A side Salernitana and will reportedly earn ₦480 million per year.
The Crotone star who notched in back to back double figures starting from the 2019/2020 campaign will be moving on from the Italian minnows.
Simy Nwankwo will now join newly-promoted Serie A side Salernitana from Crotone on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for €6million.
Sky Italia per Football Italia revealed that the deal is sealed with Simy having his medicals earlier this week (Monday).
The lanky forward is set to reportedly earn €1million (₦480million) a year and a sign-on fee.
His parent club Crotone will also get 10% out of the transfer fee if Salernitana sells him.
The 29-year-old has been a target for The Garnets and a host of clubs all summer but now they’ve won the race for Simy and are now ready to face the challenges of the Italian top-flight.
Simy would be looking forward to repeat the 20+ goal feat he achieved in back to back years for his new club and help them stay afloat on their return to the Serie A for the first time in 23 years.
Simy scored 20 goals in the Italian top flight but his side still got relegated with them amassing only five wins.
