Defending Champions, Tunisia begin the 30th edition of the Afrobasket Championship with an impressive 82-46 win over Guinea.

Tunisia won all of the quarters, with former Dallas Mavericks star and 2011 FIBA Africa Championship MVP, Salah Mejri leading the team with 17 points 3 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals.

American-Tunisian Michael Roll registered 14 points for the two time Afrobasket Champions.

Guinea who where once upon a time one of best Basketball Nations in Africa had little answers to Tunisia’s dominance, scoring 46 points, alongside recording 23 TO’s.

Guinea making their 5th appearance in the competition had no single player with double figures, with Cheick Conde dropping 9 points.
