A scintillating 17 points performance from Uzodinma Utomi paved way for a second win for D’Tigers of Nigeria, as they cruise to an easy 71-55 victory over new comer Kenya.

Jeremiah Mordi finished as the most efficient in the encounter, recording 10 points 5 rebounds 3 steals and 1 block, Ikenna Ndugba and TK Edogi also added 9 points.

Albert Odero scored a game-high 23 points for Kenya.

D’Tigers who finished as runners-up in the last Afrobasket Championship, are on a quest to secure a second gold in their history of playing in the Afrobasket.

With the win, Nigeria are through to next round, but have one last game to play in the group stage against Ivory Coast.
