According to Canal plus, Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is set to sign the dotted line for Real Madrid, with the French international currently undergoing his medical.
Despite initial reports linking Camavinga to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United throughout the summer, The Spanish capital side appear to have beaten Les Parisiens and the Red Devil’s to the 18-year-old’s signing.
With Camavinga’s contract set to expire next year, Rennes had to reduce their initial asking price of 50 million euros to 35 million euros.
Eduardo Camavinga has been part of the club for a long time. He joined the youth setup at the age of eleven and gradually progressed. He came through the ranks and became a key part of the squad. The 18-year-old has made close to 85 appearances for Rennes in all competitions.
