The players went to the gym to commence their fitness and first training session ahead of the Fifa World Cup Qualifiers, half way into it, the management of the hotel ordered them out.
According to the hotel management, the hotel’s gym wasn’t exclusively reserved for the team. The situation almost got out of hand as the players and the hotel manager exchanged unprintable words.
All attempts by the Super Eagles security details to allow the team use the gym fell on deaf ears.
The team managed to have a light training session at the beach to make up for the gym session.
The Super Eagles will begin their Group C Fifa World Cup challenge against West African rivals Liberia on September 3 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium before travelling to Cape Verde four days later.
