Manchester United and Three Lions legend, Wayne Rooney has sent a note of warning to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United are looking forward to a productive season this year after failing to lift a silverware since 2017.

Cristiano Ronaldo has made a return to the Theater Of Dreams 12 years after he left for Real Madrid CF in Spain with him departing Juventus for the sum of €20m.

The Portugese who had his medical in Lisbon over the weekend would be expected to make his second debut after the international break.

United had a busy transfer window that saw the likes of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane joining the Red Devils.

The Derby County gaffer has however warned that United would not afford to go trophyless for one more season after getting his desired team.

“Cristiano is still one of the best players in the world and has won titles everywhere he’s been so he’s going to be huge,” he said according to Metro.

“He still wants to be the best and I’m sure he will have a big impact on them this season.

“Ole will certainly know that he’s in a position now where he needs to start winning these big titles with the players that he’s brought in.

“For their development, to get to the next step now is to start winning titles.”
