The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Wednesday unveiled Air Peace as the Official Airline Sponsor of Nigerian National teams after signing a sponsorship deal worth N500 million naira with the carrier company.

The one year deal which is renewable for four years will generate N200 million to the covers of the NFF as well as additional N100 million (Value-in-kind) worth of materials.

Reacting to the ground breaking sponsorship deal, NFF President, Amaju Pinnick said this is a partnership the federation have been looking forward to.

“The Air Peace deal is not just to fly us, it has funding. And the fund will be plowed back to the players. This is a partnership we have longed for. We got offers from foreign airlines but we insisted on going with our own super brand airline. This partnership will protect and project the national team. This is the beginning of breaking new grounds for sports in Nigeria.”

Super Eagles will be flying to play Cape Verde is one of Air Peace’s brand new aircraft. We are grateful for the huge opportunity. We will forever treasure the agreement,” Pinnick concluded.

The Chairman of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, express his excitement about the partnership with the Federation, describing it as a unique opportunity to be associated with the Super Eagles, who are superstars and Nigeria’s ambassadors.

“We need to support sports to restore hope to Nigerians. We are excited about this partnership because we are a nationalistic organization that believes in Nigeria. We are going to roll out our brand new aircraft out of the factory to undertake the assignment. We have got the capacity and we thank the NFF for believing in Air Peace.”

“We have the capacity to fly our national teams everywhere for matches. It is all in the national interest and we will support them to qualify for Qatar world cup in 2022,” Onyema said.
