FC Zeus continued their impressive start to the season securing a dramatic 3-2 win over Blazing Stars FC in Sunday’s late kick off encounter in Unilorin Football League.

James ensured FC Zeus winning streak stretched further after scoring late in the game to make it 3-2 for the big spenders.

The game was tied at 2-2 for over an hour before James the substitute scored in the 83rd minute to ensure maximum points for FC Zeus.

FC Zeus were however reduced to 10 men late in the second half but they weren’t subdued despite being one man down.

Zeus top the chart in group A with 6 points out of a possible six and three points clear of second placed JAD FC.

All Stars FC remain winless in this campaign with them enduring a 1-3 loss to visiting Skillz FC.

Bowale broke the deadlock before the 15th minute and in the 36th minute Faruq gave last season’s semi finalist a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Bowale got his second of the encounter five minutes into the second half before All Stars pulled one back late in the game.

The Black Lions lead Group B with a superior goal difference over second place H-High FC.

While on Saturday, Jad FC bounced back from the matchday one defeat by thrashing Marine FC 4-1.

Marine FC’s only goal of the encounter was scored by Kunta in the 50th minute and at the moment theyr sit bottom of Group A with a huge goal deficit.

Coach Sam Loco of Jad FC applauded his boys for the victory and most importantly attributing the huge score line to the return of senior team members who were on assignment with the school team.

He also heaped praises on Stephen for his electrifying performance on Saturday as the forward scored twice and assisted one.

H-High FC also maintain their 100% start to the season beating Real Eagles by two goals to nil.

Muritala and Dembele struck in each of the halfs to hands Real Eagles FC their second defeat of the season.

The Eagles have lost their first games of the season and they remain bottom of the group with zero points with four goals deficit.

H-High FC’s Dembele second goal of the encounter was a goal of the season contender as he controlled a losed ball inside the 12 yard box with his right foot before curling the ball to the back of the net leaving Adejare of Real Eagles FC helpless.

In another game, Jamiu Mujeeb’s goal gave defending champions, City Boys FC their first win of the season in a hard fought 1-0 victory over Aztec FC.

Leeds FC edged Emirates United FC by a goal ( 1-0) in the early match of week two and as a result they climb up to third on the log in group B

Real Eagles FC remainvthe only side yet to record a single point so far after two rounds of matches.

Three teams maintain their 100% start to the season; Zeus FC in group A, H-High FC and Skillz FC in Group B.
