Super Eagles and Nantes FC forward Moses Simon has won Nantes’ Player of the Month award for August, after a strong start to his 2020/21 campaign.

Writing on Twitter on Monday, Nantes FC confirmed that Moses Simon is their Player of the Month for August 2021 after accumulating 58% of the fans votes.

Simon beat three other shortlisted players, team’s captain and goalkeeper Alban Lafont, Nicolas Pallois in the defence and Ludovic Blas who scored Nantes’ second goal in their first and only win of the season against Metz.

He was the standout performer for his side last month after registering three assists in four games played. Topping the Ligue 1 Uber Eats assist chat.

The 26-year-old forward featured in his country’s games against Liberia and Cape Verde respectively in the Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

Simon will be expected to continue his impressive performance for Nantes when they take on Nice at the Stade se La Beaujoire on September 12th.
