Chelsea Women bounced back in style with a dominant display and a 4-0 victory against Everton at Kingsmeadow on Sunday afternoon.
Barclays English FA Women’s Super League Champions, opened the day through Fran Kirby’s superb curling strike in the 25th minute.
Sam Kerr capitalised on a defensive error to add a second just after half-time break. The Australian intercepted a short pass from the Everton defender Megan Finnigan to her goalkeeper and sent it home.
Kerr got her second with a thumping header set up by Guro Reiten in the 74th minute. Bethany England wrapped up the day with a wonderful strike that gives the Blues its fourth goal.
Kerr and Kirby made their first starts of the season and they lined up in attack for Chelsea.
