Manchester United legend Gary Neville has selected Wilfred Ndidi of the Super Eagles of Nigeria as one of three players he believes would be a perfect fit for the club.

The Nigerian international joined Leicester City in 2017, as the club was still looking for a suitable successor for Ngolo Kante.

Since moving to England, the 24-year-old has established himself as an important member of Leicester City’s midfield, forming a brick wall in front of the Foxes’ defense.

Leicester’s FA Cup victory in May was largely due to his exceptional ball-winning abilities and tackling aptitude.

Fans hoped that the 2008 Champions League winners would bring Ndidi to Old Trafford since the Red Devils lacked quality in the defensive midfield region. The plan, however, was never implemented.

Despite this, Neville believes the former Genk midfielder would be an excellent addition to Solskjaer’s squad.

“I think I’d be going for three Leicester players, to be honest with you. I would probably be going for Ndidi, Vardy.” Sport Bible was told by Neville.

When Leicester City takes on Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday, the Nigerian midfielder will try to keep up his good form.
