Kelechi Iheanacho’s impact during Leicester City’s Carabao Cup triumph against Millwall was complimented by Ademola Lookman, who noted that the Super Eagles striker can make something happen in the opposition box.

Iheanacho’s shot was parried in the build-up to Lookman’s first goal for the Foxes, the RB Leipzig loanee had the easiest of duties to slot in the rebound.

The Manchester City academy graduate finished the regular season as Leicester City’s leading scorer with nineteen goals, and he hasn’t disappointed this season, scoring three goals in 271 minutes of playing across all competitions.

Lookman addressed LCFC TV about his goal against The Lions. : “I knew Kelechi was going to shoot and I just followed it in really and cushioned it into the net. It’s always nice to score, I’m glad.

“Kelechi is a great finisher as we know and off the crossbar and in, it doesn’t come much sweeter than that!”

Despite Lookman being familiar with the demands of English football, having previously played for Charlton Athletic, Everton, and Fulham, the new signing from RB Leipzig has confessed it would take time for him to integrate with his new teammates.

“Understanding my team-mates was going to take some time and obviously for them to understand me also with my movements, so as time goes on, I think we’ll gel better together.

“I’m loving it, I’m loving every single minute. I’m trying to learn and just be a sponge and get as much information as I can,” he concluded.

Leicester City will now focus on the Premier League. They face Burnley at the King Power Stadium on Saturday before a difficult Europa League trip to Legia Warsaw of Poland.
