Coach Didier Olle Nicole believes his young team will achieve great feat this season if they continue with their impressive form.

The defending champions Paris Saint Germain, gave their local rivals a cold welcome in a 4-0 thriller at the Stade Georges Lefèvre Stadium in a Matchday 4 fixtures of the D1 Arkema league.

Olle Nicole’s women quickly settled into the game as Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored a brace in the first half, 18th and 27th minute. Putting PSG in a good position before Kadidiatou Diani’s 43rd minute strike gave them a comfortable lead in the first half.

Paris FC started the second half on a better note as they enjoyed more of the possession. But couldn’t get anything to show for it. PSG were awarded a penalty after a Paris FC player used her hand to stop across in the box. Sara Däbritz sent Paris FC goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie the wrong way to make it 4-0 for the home side.

Reacting to the win in a press conference , PSG’s coach Olle Nicole said “I am very happy, four wins in four games with no goals conceded. The team is progressing everyday, we know there are areas we need to improve on, but in all, the ladies are improving and I am happy for that.”

Paris Saint Germain now have 12 points from four games, same as Olympique Lyon, who tops the table on goal difference.

The former Benin Republic coach acknowledges the strength and financial position of Lyon, but believes his young team are learning fast and will be a problem for any team that comes their way.

“Lyon FC have a lot of money and a good history with women’s team. They have a good team and good players. We have a team that’s younger than Lyon’s team. But If we keep this momentum, I believe we will do a lot.”

“I was worried in the second half. We have 15 players who played in the National team and they played two games in 15days. They only arrived on Thursday to prepare for this game, it’s not easy, but we had to be calm and be patient. That was the game plan.” He concluded.
