Nigerian international Esther Ukpong Sunday has penned a 2-year contract with French and fellow country mate, Desire Oparanozie’s club Dijon FCO, Ojbsport has exclusively revealed.
The 29-year-old forward completed a move to the Division 1 Féminine club 24 hours to the transfer window deadline and she is now expected to make her debut in Dijon’s away league clash against Soyaux-Charente on Saturday.
Upon successful arrival at Dijon, Esther Sunday now joins her fellow compatriots Desire Oparanozie (Dijon FC), Onyinyech Zogg (ASJ Soyaux), Esther Okoronkwo (St. Etienne), Chiamaka Nnadozie (Paris FC) who all plies their trade in the French women’s football league.
Dijon FC will be traveling to Soyaux-Charante this weekend hoping to secure their second win of the season after clinching a single victory in their opening four games, thanks to their 2-0 win over Issy FF courtesy of Nigerian Desire Oparanozie and Deoclerq’s goal.
