Oyo state representatives in athletics to the forthcoming National Youth Games has been charged to go all out and do the the state and themselves proud in Ilorin and get rewarded.
The Chairman, Oyo State Athletics Association, Dr Friday Ogada made this promise during the athletics trials that was held at the Lekan Salami Stadium Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The Pacesetter state has set the benchmark of excellence in athletics at the Youth Games and were conquerors at the last event in 2019.
Dr Ogada is however not ready to relax and take his foot off the pedal, instead he has charged his team to do better and get rewarded for their performances.
I will reward each gold medalist with the sum of ten thousand naira”, Ogada enthused.
Athletics has earmarked 15 athletes to compete for medals at the youth games.

Suleiman Taofekaat – 100m, 200m, 4x400m
Adeyagun Chrstiana – 400m, 4x400m
Kazeem Rokeebat – 100m, 4x100m, 4x400m

Agboola Daniel – 100m, 200m, 4x100m
Fijabi Kayode – 100m, 200m, 4x100m
Ponle Moses – High Jump, Long Jump, 4x400m
Bamimore Quadri – 400m, 4x400m
Obembe Emmanuel – Shotput
Shittu Mosaraf – 100m, 200m, 4x100m
Samson Alex – 400m, 4x400m
Bilal Abdulrazak – 100m, 4x100m
The 6th National Youth Games will go down in Ilorin between October 10 – 20, 2021.
