The Oyo State Athletics Association is working on securing scholarship for athletes that will represent the state at the National Youth Games.

The association headed by Dr Friday Ogada is not only working on athletes to win medals for the state, but are also putting everything in place to secure a better future to the young athletes.

Already, fifty percent of the athletes representing the state are on scholarship funded by Dr Ogada, the experienced sports adminstrator is leaving no stone unturned towards the driving the athletes in the right direction.

“The association making efforts at securing them (the athletes) university scholarship within and outside the country”, he made this known to OJB Sports.

134 athletes from the Oyo will vie for medals in 25 sports at the National Youth Games that will kick off in Ilorin between October 10 – 20, 2021.
