Marie-Antoinette Oda Katoto’s first half hat trick propelled Paris Saint Germain to a 6-0 victory over visiting EA Guingamp in a rescheduled week five Division One Arkema League game.

The game was rescheduled due to the cloudy weather around major cities in France last week.

A quick start by the home side in the 3rd minute saw Guingamp’s defender Maiwen Renard, deflect a shot from Marie-Antoinette Oda Katoto into her own net to give PSG the lead.

In the 17th minute, team captain Sara Däbritz sent a ball from the midfield to connect with Katoto who calmly scored the second goal of the evening.

The defending champions maintained the majority of the possession in the first half and were rewarded with two goals from Katoto before the end of the first 45 minute.

Paris Saint Germain continued from where they ended the first half, dictated the pace of the game and enjoyed more of the possessions. The home side scored two last goals to secure the win and go top of the group with Olympique Lyon who tops the group on goal difference.

Speaking after the game, Olle Nicole said “Todays first half corresponded with what we [PSG] planned, good organisation, lot of pressing and a lot of communication amongst the players”

“The players all played their roles well and Katoto made it worthwhile.”
