Barcelona and Pedri have reached an agreement on a contract extension according to reliable transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano.

The new contract runs until 2026 and contains a pretty wild release clause aimed at putting off any potential admirers.

Fabrizio Romano has reported via his Twitter page that his new contract will include a release clause of one billion Euros.

It will be the biggest release clause in Barcelona’s prestigious history and confirms their commitment to the 18-year-old’s future and belief in his potential.

Pedri played 52 games in his debut season at Barcelona, which he started at the age of just 17.

The Tenerife-born playmaker really came into his own in the Catalan capital, looking to be the heir to the throne of legends Xavi and Andres Iniesta.
