Kharkiv Zhytlobud manager Valentyna Kotyk has said that Paris Saint Germain were superior than them, after her side were thrashed by the last season’s Champions League Semifinalist on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian Champions are little known to followers of football in general since it is exclusively a female team and not attached to a local club.
Speaking after the defeat in the press conference, the 43-year-old former Ukraine defender said, “We understand that they are no weak teams here. We thought we could at least get a draw here today.”
“The next game is against Breidablik from Iceland, we are hoping to pick points in that game and we hope the level of the team will be a little bit closer to our level.”
The former Zhytlobud defender also said they learnt a lot from the heavy defeat and that playing against a team like PSG with so much quality is a good test for them.
“I will have to rewatch the game again but maybe we should have played more defensively.”
“My team didn’t have the pace and power of Paris saint germain. We fought hard, every of our players did their best to play at the top tonight. Thanks to match like this, we get to test our strengths”
Zhytlobud with 0 point from two games, will play host to Breidablik next month that are also yet to secure a point or score a goal in two games.
