Oyo State has raked in more medals at the 6th National Youth Games.

Eight medals comprising of two gold, one silver and five bronze medals were won on day four at the U-15 event going on in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Medals were won in canoeing, darts, ayo olopon, cycling, cricket and hockey.

Aaron Kehinde paddled to glory to win gold in canoeing 200m K1 becoming the third gold medalist for team Oyo at the games. The duo of Olojede Basit and Oguntoyinbo Ridwan increased the Pacesetter State gold medals to four with a victory over their Delta counterpart in Ayo Olopon male doubles final.

The only silver medal won on the day came came through Olasupo Tope silver in canoeing 200m Para K1.

Meanwhile, Julius Alemede won bronze in canoeing 200m C1 while Faudat Raifu and Aishat Omolomo won bronze in Darts 501.

Cyclist, Charity Olawale won her third medal at the games winning bronze in the road race category. Her third bronze at the event.

There were more bronze medals won in tennis and hockey. Kadija okanlawon and Ayoola Kabirat combined no to win bronze in female tennis doubles with the female hockey team also winning bronze.

Team Oyo now has 17 medals in total, four gold, two silver and 11 bronze medals after day four.
