It’s been 13 weeks since we saw that mouthwatering NBA finals between eventual champions Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns, since then teams has had enough time to prepare for the 2021/22 season, which kicks-off on Tuesday 19th of October.

During the post-season, teams like Brooklyn Nets and Sixers had a lot to deal with, with players from each clubs not ready to return for the new season for different reasons. Kyrie Irving refused to be vaccinated and feels good about been on the verge of missing all Nets games this season. His recently held Instagram live session gave fans more reasons to be worried, as the aforementioned Nets star seems not ready to curb.

For Ben Simmons, the latter part of last season was a nightmare, it all started when he gave up and an open dunk, this action by Simmons made fans fume. The issues where beyond Simmons passing that open dunk, he was not taking shots, his free throws were appalling, all of these plus off-court issues affected a player that was listed as a top 3 defender for the regular season last time out.

Sixers hopes of trading Simmons couldn’t materialize, franchises such as the San Antonio Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves have expressed an interest in Simmons, but the player’s demands – he wants the team to be built around him – are also proving a stumbling block to resolving his future.

If Simmons won’t feature for Sixers when the season kick-starts, Matisse Thybulle could be next in line to be the team’s starting point guard. Simmons not featuring means Sixers will miss his elite defending, that helps guard many positions, That is why Thybulle could be an option after being named to an All-Defensive second team in 2021.

Apart from Matisse Thybulle, Shake Milton and Maxey are another names that comes to mind, but fingers crossed, coach Doc Rivers will decide that.

Is it time to take GSW serious again?

GSW fans will be quick to say YES!, but Klay Thompson return won’t mean he’s back at 100%, Klay will surely need 10 or more games to catch up with how far the team has gone since his injuries. The good news for GSW is that, they should do better than a 39-33 run they had last season, plus a play-off berth in mind too.

The race for the championship kicks-off tonight, who are your favorites?
