The Nigerian Queen, Ezinne Kalu spearheaded Landerneau Bretagne to their second league win of the season, scoring a season-high 19 points to help her team beat Tarbes GB 68-65 and record first home win since March this year, in an entertaining affair played Saturday evening in the French Women’s basketball league.
Landerneau for the first time this season, secured back to back victories, beating Champagne (In the French Cup) and Tarbes GB in the space of 3 days. The win takes them to 7th on the log with 2 wins and 2 losses so far.
Ezinne Kalu who spent 38:22 mins on the court, also got loads of support from her teammates, with Luisa Geiselsoder grabbing a double double 12 points 12 rebounds.
Odera Chidom continued sparkling form with Anger, shooting 100% 2/2 from downtown plus recording 10 points 7 reboounds 2 steals as Anger wallops Lattes Montpellier 87-73 in one of the games played on Saturday evening in the French Women’s Basketball league.
Chidom as scored more than 10 points or more for Anger thrice this season in four games played so far in the league.
Anger remains unbeaten at home, winning last 6 matches.
Another Nigerian, Evelyn Akhator who was listed amongst the week 2 top five performers of the EuroCup Women, was on for Flammes Carolo in 10 points win over Union Hainaut on Saturday evening.
Akhator registered 5 points shooting 2/3 from the field, as Flammes beats Union Hainaut 71-61.
