Neymar fit to travel with Paris Saint Germain to Marseille for the “Le Classique”

Mauricio Pochettino has declared Neymar fit enough to play in Paris Saint Germain Uber Eat Ligue 1 game against Olympique Marseille tomorrow.

Neymar missed PSG’s last two games, Angers in the French Ligue and RB Leipzig in the Champions League due to a groin injury.

But Pochettino confirmed today that he is fit for selection. “Neymar is in a good shape, he his available for the Classique tomorrow.”

Pochettino admits tomorrow’s game is different from every other games : “Tomorrow’s a special game for us and for Marseille. For us, the staff and the players.”

“We know that it’s a special game and it has its own history. We will be playing in a hostile stadium, because we know it that they are our enemies in sporting terms, but there is no fear.”

“I hope for the good of football, and for everyone that there are no problems of any kind and that a football match can be played with the rivalry that exists, with all of the focus and consequences of a football match that is played out on the pitch only so we can start and end the game as normal, and there are worthy winners.”

The Parisian giant are yet to lose a game away to Olympique Marseille in 10 years. Pochettino is looking to continue the run.

“We will go there to continue our run. Winning game is our main target. We are not thinking of any other results, or what might happen after the 90 minutes in a negative way. We are always thinking about things in a positive way.”

With the return of Neymar, PSG are spoilt with many options going forward against the Phocéens. The trio of Leandro Paredes, Sergio Ramos and Sergio Rico won’t be available for the trip.
