Haaland’s injury is worse than first thought, and he may be out for the rest of the year according to Bild.

Initial reports suggested that Erling Haaland’s hip flexor injury would put him out of action until December.

None of these reports have been confirmed by the club, and all that Marco Rose has said is that it’s the same thigh as his previous injury, but in a different spot.

If Haaland is indeed out for the rest of the year, that would mean that he will miss several crucial fixtures in the Champions League, including the return against Ajax, as well as big games in the Bundesliga, such as the Bayern Munich game at the Westfalenstadion.

Haaaland missing this much time is likely to put an end to any faint dreams of a Bundesliga title run this season for Dortmund .

BVB will have to rely on Donyell Malen to lead the line, despite his early struggles since joining the club, and the likes of Marco Reus, Gio Reyna, and Thorgan Hazard will need to step up to try and make up for the gaping hole that Haaaland leaves.
