Former Watford head coach Xisco Munoz has been named manager of SD Huesca.

Huesca are currently 12th in the Spanish Segunda Division and have now turned to Munoz to drive them up the table.

The Spaniard was something of a surprise package when he was announced as Watford boss in December 2020, despite having only managed 11 games in Georgia beforehand, but he guided the team back into the top flight at the first attempt .

Munoz was sacked by the Hornets on 3 October, just seven games into the new Premier League season.

He was replaced by Claudio Ranieri but has not had to wait long to land another job.

He played in the Spanish second tier as a player with both Recreativo de Huelva and Levante.
