Former Premier League star Gabriel Agbonlahor has insisted that West Ham have become a bigger London club than Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

West Ham are flying at the moment in the Premier League and are sitting fourth in the league table after nine games.

The Hammers have also taken to the Europa League like a duck to water and are comfortably sitting at the top of their group, primed to reach the last 16 of the competition.

Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky has shown an interest in buying a minority stake at West Ham with a view to taking over the club if possible in the near future.

Agbonlahor stressed that West Ham are primed for investment from billionaires given their position at the moment and a great playing squad.

The former striker claimed that West Ham have eclipsed Arsenal and Tottenham to become the biggest club in London after current European champions Chelsea.

Agbonlahor speaking to TALKSPORT; “If I was a billionaire and I would be thinking of clubs in a perfect place – a great squad of players, great manager, they are looking like a club who will keep getting to European places – I would think of now are West Ham.

Apart from Chelsea, for me, they are the biggest club in London. They have overtaken Arsenal, Spurs, Brentford, and Watford.

“They are the biggest club in London after Chelsea for sure now.

“But they have got to hang on to [Declan] Rice, [Michail] Antonio, [Aaron] Cresswell and add more players into the squad and start looking at top four.”

West Ham will look to keep his form going when they travel the Midlands to take on Aston Villa next Sunday.
