Asisat Oshoala with a brace and assist as FC Barcelona demolished Real Sociedad 8-1 in the Spanish Primera Iberdrola at the Johan Cruyff Stadium on Sunday.
New acquisition, Fridolina Rolfö opened the scoring for the Catalan side in the third minute before Sanni Franssi equaliser for Real Sociedad.
Oshoala restored Barcelona’s lead with a comfortable header in the 23rd minute before extending the lead in the 38th minute.
The Nigerian forward continued from where she stopped in the second half but this time with an assist for Lieke Martens who converted for Barcelona’s fourth goal in the 62nd minute.
More goals from Jenni Hermoso, Maddi Torre Larranaga (own goal), Lieke Martens, and Claudia Pina completed the rout.
The four-time African best has now moved to the top of the goal scorers chart in the league with ten goals and two assists ahead of her teammate, Alexia Putellas.
