Sanaa Mssoudy scored three goals as ASFAR FC of Morocco defeated Nigerian Champions, Rivers Angels 3-0 to kick off its Group B campaign of the maiden TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League on a bright note.

Sanaa Mssoudy scored her first of the game in the 30th minute and had to wait till the 72nd minute before doubling her side’s lead with a stunning goal.

ASFAR FC captain Ghizlane Chebbak did a great job before Sanaa Mssoudy tapped in her third goal in the 83rd minute.

Melinda Kgadiete had earlier on scored a fourth-minute goal to lift Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC of South Africa to a 1-0 win over Vihiga Queens of Kenya in the first group B game.

Vihiga Queens and Rivers Angels with no point so far will face ASFAR FC and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC respectively on November 9 in their next group games.
