Aminatta Diallo has broken her silence after her release from the police custody.
The PSG and France midfielder was arrested for allegedly orchestrating an attack on her teammate Hamraoui last week Thursday, November 4th, by having two masked men drag Hamraoui out of her car after attending a team meal, hitting her with iron that left her with injuries to her hands and legs.
According to AFP, Diallo was restrained by one assailant during the attack but was not physically injured.
They’ve been speculations that Aminata Diallo sees Kheira Hamraoui as a rival, because they are both fighting for the same position in club side and in the National team.
Aminata Diallo has featured in all of PSG’s matches in D1 Arkema League starting against Soyaux, Guingamp and Dijon. She also started two out of three PSG’s Champions League game this season.
But regardless of the backlash, she has shown appreciation for the support she received and sent few words to the others.
“And for the rest, thanks for your gratuitous hate you make me even stronger. You will never shut me.”
Diallo, who has been capped seven times by France, joined PSG in 2016 and has made more than 60 appearances for the club. She spent time on loan at Atletico Madrid last season.
“The material in the investigators’ possession justified her being put in custody, Versailles prosecutor Maryvonne Caillibotte told CNN in an emailed statement.”
“Her release signifies that at this stage the charges are not sufficient to put her before an investigating judge and to put her under formal investigation.”
“However, the investigation is ongoing to identify the attackers and their potential accomplices. If new elements become available and concern Ms. Diallo, she may need to be brought back into proceedings,” Caillibotte added.
