Landerneau BB point guard Ezinne Kalu will miss the rest of the year with ongoing complications with her left knee.

The Nigerian international who missed Landerneau BB’s last LFB Women game, underwent a surgery on Monday which confirmed she will be out for about 6-months. The surgery was her first since 2012.

Prior to the surgery, Ezinne Kalu couldn’t stand on both feets without crutches, but was able to do so faintly on Monday evening.

Even with Promise Amukamara extraordinary play since joining the French outfit, Kalu’s absence is crippling to a Landerneau team that have some tough fixtures lined up for the rest of the year.

Averaging 16.3 points per game in her last three games, the 2019 Women’s Afrobasket MVP will begin some rehab sessions as she continues to fight to return on time for Landerneau Bretagne.
