Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has been charged with another two counts of rape, the Crown Prosecution Service declared.
The 27-year-old former Marseille and Monaco defender had previously been charged with four counts of rape and one sexual assault and has been kept in HMP Altcourse since his first appearance in court in August.
The player is yet to enter a plea and has been refused bail three times.
Now, two additional charges have been issued against the Frenchman – who is accused of committing the offences between October 2020 and August this year.
The victims are four different women, including one under the age of 18.
Mendy will appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on November 17.
