Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South Africa becomes the first ever team to win the CAF Women Champions League.

The COSAFA Champions beat Hasaacas Ladies FC of Ghana 2-0 to clinch the title of the inaugural CAF Women Champions League, thanks to goals from Chuene Morifi and Andiswa Mgcoyi in both half was enough to make history for the South Africans.

The defeat was Hasaacas’ first in this competition after winning three of its games and also earned one draw.

Individual awards were presented at the end of the tournament as Hasaacas Ladies forward, Evelyn Badu win the Golden Boot award after becoming the topscorer of the competition with five goals and also grabbed the Golden Ball award for her impressive brilliance, winning two Player of the match award.

After helping Sundowns Ladies won the historic title without conceding any goal, goalkeeper, Andile Dlamini is awarded the Golden Glove award.

Mamelodi Sundowns also becomes the first team to win both the Male and Female CAF Champions League.
