Evelyn Akhator had a team-high 15 points 6 rebounds and Flammes Carolo pulled a furious second-half come-back to beat the ESB Villeneuve W 69-57 on Saturday evening, for their second straight victory.

French Forward Janelle Salaun led Villeneuve W with 15 points, but her impressive contributions couldn’t stop Flammes comeback win.

Akhator also locked in on defense, recording 2 steals and shooting 7/11 from the field.

Landerneau Bretagne suffered the absence of star player Ezinne Kalu (Out for the rest of the year), who did not play due to left knee injury as they lost comprehensively to in-form Landes W 49-78. Fellow Nigerian, Promise Amukamara dropped 6-points, shooting 3/12 from the field, with a day to forget from the 3-point line as all five attempted shot couldn’t make the basket.

Luisa Geiselsoder scored 11 points for Landerneau in the defeat.

Anger W ‘Never say die’ spirit was key as they fought back to stun La Roche W 74-76, away from home, in one of the games played on Saturday evening.

Nigerian international Odera Chidom played a huge role in the win, registering 15 points for her side, bouuncing back from back to back defeats. Chidom was 7/11 from the field.
