A brilliant showing from Paris Saint Germain saw them hit a magnificent seven under the rain at the Camps des Loges, as they beat Reims 7-0 in the week nine Division One Arkema game.

Coming into the League game fresh from week seven day defeat to Ligue leaders Olympique Lyon by 6-1, PSG had a point to prove.

Stade Reims were three goals behind after 38 minutes, with first Khelifi Lea, Dudek Paulina and then Kelifi Lea again, curling in a fantastic free kick.

Diani Kadidiatou who last scored for the capital club in October, joined the party after connecting a cross from August Division One Arkema League player of the month Sara Däbritz.

The visitors started the second half better but were not able to penetrate the defence line of Olle Nicole’s ladies. 10 minutes into the second half, Katoto was brought down inside the box by Océane Deslandes and Sandy Baltimore cooly convert from the spot, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Not to be left out of the goal-party, Jordyn Huitema who was substituted for Marie-Antoinette Katoto, nods in a ball from Estelle Cascarino in the 74th minute to extend the lead to six. Diani then finished the game in style, making it seven by calmly slotting into the bottom corner.

“After the last defeat to Olympique Lyon in the League, we had it at heart to overcome our obstacles and score more goals.

“It’s important for us to score a lot of goals and because it gives us a lot of confident going into our next game.” Diani Kadidiatou said to Canal Plus after the game.

This comes as a little balm in the heart of the capital club, that may still be shaken by the turmoil related to the Kheira Hamraoui attack case on November 4. She and her teammate Aminata Diallo, are yet to reunite the team.

While Eric Abidal’s wife is filling for a divorce from the former Barcelona defender, due to an affair he had with the former Barcelona midfielder Kheira Hamraoui.
