Sweden pipped Finland 2-1 to move six points ahead of its Scandinavian neighbors, Finland in Group A of Australia/New Zealand 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

Lina Hurtig assisted FC Barcelona’s Fridolina Rolfö for Sweden’s first goal in the 11th minute at the Gamla Ullevi, Göteborg, Sweden. In the 29th minute, Linda Sallstrom equalized for Finland, before Lina Hurtig in the 80th minute converted Sweden’s winning goal from Filippa Angeldal’s assist.

Sweden occupy the first position in Group A with a maximum of 12 points from four games ahead of Finland (6 points), Slovakia, Ireland, and Georgia.
