Alexia Putellas, the midfielder of FC Barcelona and the Spanish Women’s Soccer Team has been chosen as the Best Female World Player of the Year 2021, according to the IFFHS.
The UEFA midfielder and player of the season had scored 18 league goals in 31 games last season and two goals in nine UEFA Women’s Champions League games.
She has also scored nine goals in ten league games this season, and four goals in three UEFA Women’s Champions League.
The Spanish player beat Samantha Kerr in second position, and Samantha Mewis in third, with an overwhelming number.
She is also in contention for the Balon D’or and FIFA Best Awards.
