Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osihmen has been confirmed to make an early return from injury according to Napoli doctor Raffaele Canonico.
The Napoli no.9 suffered an eye socket injury during his side’s 3-2 league loss to Inter Milan in November and was confirmed to be sidelined for 3 months bringing alive a possibility of him missing out of The African Cup Of Nations in Cameroon Next year January.
The Partenopei who have beyond doubts missed the services of the red hot striker will be glad to welcome him back into the fold. Ever since their loss to rivals Inter, Napoli have picked 4 points from a possible 6 which were a 4-0 brilliant victory over lazio and a 2-2 draw at Sassuolo. However, in Europe they lost 2-1 to Sparta Prague in their Europa eague tie.
Napoli’s doctor Canonico has now expressed possibility of a early return for the former Charleroi and Lille striker.
“From next week he will be back on the field and we will do some new tests” Canonico said.
Osihmen’s return will no doubt boost the hopes of the teeming football fans across Nigeria whose fears of him missing the Afcon are now allayed alongside the National team who are currently without a head coach but hoping to perform better than their bronze medal finish at their last outing in 2019.
