Westham United put up a stunning home performance as they took down neighbors and table toppers Chelsea.

It was the third of Westham’s busy 3-game schedule as they’ve faced the two other league challengers namely Liverpool and City racking up a 3-2 home victory over the Reds and a slim 2-1 loss away at Manchester City.

The Blues had gone ahead with early in the game through Thiago Silva who headed home a Mason Mount corner but were pegged back by Manuel Lanzini who took no chances in converting his spotkick.

The European Champions went ahead once again through Mason Mount whose volley left goalkeeper Fabianksi for dead at his near post. Again the Hammers rose from the dead through Jarrod Bowen got the ball from Vladimir Coufal on the edge of the area and he pierced it into the far bottom corner.

The closing stages of the game came alive and it was Arthur Masuaku who had come from the bench who rendered Chelsea a side that looked to steal a point powerless to lift that point after his intended cross turned to goal leaving Chelsea for dead.

3-2 it ended in favor of Westham United and the win sees them stay in the top 4 but this time they’re 4 points above Arsenal in fifth and are within touching distance from Liverpool although both sides mentioned are yet to kick a ball.

As for Chelsea, a point for City will see them drop to second and a Liverpool win at wolves would see them drop further to third on the log
