Borrusia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has hit out at the performance of referee Felix Zwayer in their loss to the league leaders, Bayern Munich on Saturday night at the Stade Iduna Park in the German Bundesliga.
The Norwegian international after a 2-3 home loss told reporters after the game; “It was a scandal when it comes to the referee”
“He [the referee] was arrogant and I will not say more”.
Borussia Dortmund’s players and coach had been left fuming over Felix Zwayer [referee]’s decision to award a 77th minute penalty that handed Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich a 3-2 victory in their top-of-the-table clash on Saturday, a win which saw them fall behind by a 4-point margin.
Despite having scored 4 goals in his 4 encounters against Bayern, the former Salzburg hitman has always ended up on the losing side.
With his goal on the night, Haaland has scored 11 goals in the Bundesliga this campaign, 5 goals shy of topscorer Lewandowski who was also on target twice in the game.
