2021 Afrobasket Champion and 2019 Zenith Women’s league MVP, Murjanatu Musa is set to join Spanish side, Celta Zorka Recalvi’s squad ahead of the start of the new season.

Musa, 21 faces the first experience outside her country where she played for First Bank basketball club. She was also part of the Nigerian team that conquered the Afrobasket 2021.

The young player brings physical power and great dynamism into the game, adding quality to the Spanish outfit roster.

Despite the fact that her hiring has been closed for weeks, the Nigerian player immediately joins the Celtic squad, once all the bureaucratic procedures have been solved, adding one more cash for the Women’s Challenge League dispute.

Murjanatu represented Nigeria in the 3×3 basketball tournament at the 2019 Morocco Africa Games and 2019 African Beach Games, Cape-Verde, the team won Gold and Bronze respectively.

Murjanatu Musa was called up to represent the D’Tigress and to participate in the Tokyo 2020 FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in Belgrade.

In the 2019 Zenith Women’s Basketball league Women’s Basketball team in the final, Musa was voted the MVP of the league having averaged 17 points and 15 rebounds and 3 assist in the Final game against MFM women’s.

Her new club, the Real Club Celta Zorka is a women’s basketball club in the city of Vigo (Pontevedra), Spain. Founded in the summer of 1996. They have won the league 5 times, Copa de la Reina 4 times and Copa Galicia 12 times.
