Paris Saint Germain coach, Mauricio Pochettino is of the opinion that the French capital team is in the middle of a process of building and growing.
The Argentine in a press conference ahead of his side Champions League game against Club Brugge, says he feels good in the club and has the backing of the players and staff.
“I feel good. I feel the support of the players, of the club, and of a structure in which we know what we’re trying to do. We’re in the middle of a process which is growing, which is being built on the pitch, including the team’s style.”
“But it’s also about other internal aspects, such as the communication, the understanding, the bonds that are created in the dressing room. It takes time to find the right balance.”
“The players need to get to know each other, and that the squad battles for the same goals. I’m calm, because I feel that the process is heading in the right direction.”
The former Tottenham Hotspur coach admits the job isn’t easy. There has been heavy criticism on his style of play. Messi has been below par since leaving Barcelona, scoring a paltry three goals since joining Paris.
“There are ups and downs. We need to develop our ideas more, and the teams we face are there to put obstacles in our path. But I feel good”. He concluded.
Pochettino is understood to be a long-term target for Manchester United and has found it difficult to find the right balance this season with PSG.
They have only manage to win just twice in their last five games in all competitions. They were held by Lens in their latest Ligue 1 game.
