Goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Martin Ordegaard and Gabriel Magalhaes put the Gunners past the Saints as they returned to winning ways.

Arsenal took the lead through Alexandre Lacazette who capped off a brilliant run of play from the back netting a trademark Arsenal goal.

The Gunners soon added their second of the Afternoon as Martin Ordegaard rose best to head in a Kieran Tierney cross.

It became three for the Gunners who left the Saints for dead when Gabriel added the third of the Afternoon.

Arteta however made little comments regarding the freezing of club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from the squad.

“You are not going to get anything else out of me about what happens in the dressing room,” said the Spaniard

“It was a disciplinary breach and that’s why he was out of the squad. Arteta added.

The 3-0 victory saw Mikel Arteta’s men shake off their 2-1 away loss at the Goodison Park to Everton during the week.
