Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he believes Lionel Messi and Mbappe are getting to understand each other and with time they’d be deadly.

Paris Saint-Germain beat AS Monaco 2-0 on Matchday 18 of Ligue 1 at the Parc des Princes.

Kylian Mbappe’s first half brace was enough to give the Parisans the much needed 3 points.

It was in a special atmosphere with Parc des Princes decorated in Christmas colors.

In this historic clash, Mauricio Pochettino maintained his front three that had Lionel Messi playing as a false nine.

With arrival of Messi at the French capital, many wondered how Argentine coach, Pochettino,  would construct his team.

They however didn’t have it smooth at first with the forward line not gelling.

All that now seems to have gone into the history books with Messi and Mbappe becoming a fearful force.

Poch spoke to the club’s media yesterday after the game against AS Monaco, saying the forwards have started to get an understanding of each others style of play.

“I think it was very important to finish in a very good way. Winning and getting the three points was important for us. Overall, I am happy as the performance was very professional and we won 2-0. It’s always important to play in front of your fans and to create a good atmosphere. Today, we missed the Virage Auteuil and the situation was little bit strange, but all of the fans are important in the stadium. We hope that next time we play, the stadium will be full with our fans. It’s important to perform well and to be consistent. I think that with time, as they get to know each other better and create links between them, the team will play better.”

Lionel Messi has six goals and four assists in 15 appearances while Kylian Mbappé has 13 goals and 8 assists in 23 appearances for the Parisans.
