Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City extended their winning run after outclassing Leeds United in a one sided seven-goal thriller.

The Citizens took an early lead through youngster Phil Phoden just eight minutes from Kick-off and had it doubled almost immediately by Jack Grealish in the 13th minutes.

Two minutes past the half-hour mark, tragedy struck again for Marcelo Bielsa’s men as Kevin De Bruyne netted the third of the night putting City three goals up at halftime.

Goals from Riyadh Mahrez, De Bruyne, John Stones and Nathan Ake completed the rout in the second half.

City have retained their lead at the summit and will care less of Liverpool’s result as a win for the Reds will still see them fall one point behind.

The night was historical for manager Pep Guardiola as he has now set the PL record for the fastest manager to score 500 league goals doing it 207 games eclipsing Jurgen Klopp’s record of 234 games.
