It was a week full of drama, tension and excitement. There was a top of the clash and several moves were made by players from one club to the other.

On Matchday 7, a minute silence was observed at each game in honor of the individuals who lost their lives at the ghastly accident that happened in Unilorin on the 6th of December, 2021.

Defending champions City Boys FC raided JAD FC as they got three of their players on a free (Olawale Shina, Godwin and Abdulmalik).

Zikouph also left JAD FC for FC Zeus while City Boys sent a couple of youngsters on loan to Real Eagles.

The first game of the week was a clash between Blazing Stars and Marine FC with both teams playing out a one all draw. The draw dents Blazing’s hope of making it to the Super Four.

Relegation threatened AZTEC who just sacked their coach (Mr Fred), got their second win of the season.
Coach Paul Young masterminded the teams victory with him making some worthy substitutions. One thing worthy of note is that, AZTECS two wins of the season have all come against the embattled JAD FC.

The loss now pushes JAD FC into the relegation zone as they go level on point with Marine FC.

Leeds FC proved to be too hot for Emirates United as they came from a goal down to defeat Emirates United 1-4. Michael grabbed his first match ball of the season and that takes his goal tally to six.

Coach Hakeem took charge of Real Eagles FC for the first time this season and his tactics were enough to stop red hot H-High FC from running riot. The game ended 1-1 with Demble extending his lead at the top of the goalscoring chart.

Skillz FC got another win over All Stars FC with win keeping the Super Four race alive. The 2-1 win takes them back to second place, just 3 points behind H-High FC.

On Tuesday, the heavyweight clash between FC Zeus and City Boys FC gave us fireworks. The Boys from the city started brilliantly and that was rewarded with a goal from the debutant Shina in the 25th minute.

Unilorin Warriors forward, Fashanu, restored parity for FC Zeus in the 34th minute with his seventh goal of the season. The game however ended in a draw.

Two teams from each group will make the Super Four. Matchday 7 has just been concluded and with only three games left to play the race is getting hotter most especially in Group B.
