Barcelona’s last home game of 2021 sees them run away with all three points all thanks to a late minute 3‐2 win over elche with goals coming from Ferran Jutgla, Gave and substitute Nico Gonzalez.

Barcelona started the match with some firepower as Ferran Jutgla Put Barcelona ahead as early as the 2nd minute only to have his goal ruled out for offside. Barca became a hard nut to crack for Elche as they kept on intense attacking football, It wasn’t long before the deadlock was broken. It came in the 16th minute, Ferran Jutgla once again. He headed home off a delightful corner swung in by Ousmanne Dembele. 3 minutes later Barcelona doubled their lead, The number 10 man, Gavi scored a spectacular goal, beating two defenders before finding the bottom corner. The catalan giants had more opportunities to take the scoreline as high as 4-, but Gavi had a goal bound chance cleared off the line, Frenkie De Jong also wasted a one‐on‐one with the keeper.

The second half soon came and Barca became shaky in defence, lost concentration, The blaugrana started conceding chances left, right, centre. It wasn’t long before Elche pulled one back through Tete Morenete, Morente turned provider once again for a Milla goal. All these happened just in the space of 2 minutes (62nd ‐ 64th minute). It seems as if Barca’s woes was about to continue.

Xavi made some changes late on in the game to try spicen things up bringing on Nico Gonzalez and Riqui Puig, lucky enough his changes were spot on. Barca began to look threatening. In the 85th minute, Barcelona scored the winner. Gavi started it off with a beautiful one‐two with Dembele and Nico Gonzalez, Nico Gonzalez made no mistake to smash home the winner and Give Barca a late winner. The final whistle came, and it was happy faces on Catalan faces as Barca managed to return to winning ways all thanks to Nico Gonzalez’s late winner which pushes them upto 7th on the table.
