Machester City left back Benjamin Mendy has been further charged of another count of rape.
The Frenchman was already on the receiving end of six allegations of rape and one of sexual assault but has now added another feather to the rape cap.
Although the 27-year-old will be facing trial next year, restrictions on another rape charge were lifted as he had to appear infront of the Chester Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.
However, the 2018 world cup winner wasn’t tried as a lone as he had with him a co-defendant in Louis Saha Matturie, a 40-year-old from Eccles on the outskirts of Manchester.
Saha Matturie is also an individual charged with six sex offences against young women.
Both were kept in custody after a hearing which lasted 40 minutes.
Manchester City have since the player was charged initally had his name and image removed from all their social media pages
